Filming Day!!!

So today was the day of filming and everything went to plan! I'm happy to say that Hannah (main artist) was a star and she looked very realistic when acting as a pop star! I hope everything will come together nicely when I edit the clips together over the next few days...

Equipment I will need

For the day of filming I will need certain equipment. I would say that the most important piece of equipment that I will need other than a camera and tripod, is the Green Screen! I have planned to use a blue screen in my video and it will be used for the chorus and ending verse.

To make my Green Screen, I have just simply used a large dark blue sheet. As I haven't filmed the music video yet, I'm unaware as to how it will turn out. As Hannah (artist) is wearing jet black clothing and has light brown hair, the Blue Screen should work!

I will need to use a tripod to keep the shots steady as opposed to holding the camera myself... I don't want the shots to be shaky.

I have planned to use little purple tea lights in the background to make it look more glamorous to convey the genre so I need to make sure I buy enough.

I will not need any other light source other than what I already have as I can always alter it on the MAC. 


After I filmed the video I am going to use the editing program Final Cut Pro on the MAC computer. It is on Final Cut Pro that I will edit and add effects onto my music video. 

Inspiration for my music video

Today I have been looking at different music videos under my genre and I have gained a lot of inspirations. For example the types of shots, make-up and costume.

Introducing my characters!

For my music video I am having my friend Hannah for the main character who is portraying the artist. I chose Hannah because I think she could easily represent a real life RnB/pop artist as she is very pretty, has a big smile and has a slim figure which would be good features for a commercial exhibitionist performance. Equally, I think that Hannah could portray my chosen genre as she has that glamorous look to her.



My other male character is going to be played by Alex. It is evident that in RnB/pop music videos the male is usually muscularly,tall and dark with light eyes, the main reasons why I have chosen Alex. I feel that Alex and Hannah will work well together and make a convincing music video similar to a real life product. 




These are the two characters that will be in my music video. 

Final idea

For my final idea I have chosen to produce my second idea which is the pop/RnB song Grenade by Bruno Mars. I have chosen this idea as my final choice because I think that visually it will look better than the other ideas and I personally prefer the song and what I can do with it.
