Rihanna - Good Girl Gone Bad Reloaded Digipak

As my music video is based on the genre of RnB/pop, I thought it would be a good idea to look at a Digipak from an Artist who produces and releases the same genre of music.

As you can see the conventions of an RnB/Pop music video rubbed off onto the digipak. The cover of the digipak is simple yet effective. There is a large picture of Rihanna. Her posture exstentuates her figure and curves. Her body looks attractive and inspiring to her fans  - they will want to have a slim figure similar to hers.

The other main image that you notice, other than Rihanna herself is the title and the massive 'RIHANNA' that is displayed in the centre of the cover. The title is Red which is the opposite to the background colour that is blue. This contrast works well and even more so makes the title stand out more. Underneath the bigger titles is the name of the album 'Good girl gone bad'.

The colour scheme for the front cover is very vibrant and work well together, the image of Rihanna herself is black and white. I think that the front over is very simple but portrays that Rihanna is a young, fun and attractive artist and her music is the same.

The back cover also follows the same conventions of a commercial exhibitionist and RnB performance. For example, a close up of Rihannas face, showing her natural beauty. The image is in black and white - the same effect as the front cover image. Rihannas make-up is sultry.

The disk follows the same colour scheme as the front cover, back cover and inside panels which shows that there is a continuous theme in a Digipak.

The inside panel consists of photos of Rihanna - I can gather from this that in this Pop/RnB genre there are always lots of images of the artist in the Digipak. The inside panel picture is alluring with her top sliding down one shoulder.
